Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, and eggs until well combined.
- Stir in vanilla extract and mashed bananas.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in chopped walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor and sweetness.
- Ensure your oven temperature is accurate for evenly baked bread.
- Allow the bread to cool sufficiently before slicing to maintain moistness.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze slices for later enjoyment.
