Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
  3. Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  5. Flatten each piece and fill with shredded cheese and minced garlic. Roll up and place seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
