- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
- Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the risen dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
- Flatten each piece and fill with shredded cheese and minced garlic. Roll up and place seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- For extra cheesy flavor, sprinkle more cheese on top before baking.
