- 1/4 cup ice water
- 3 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour and cold butter; cut in until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add ice water gradually and knead gently into a dough. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out chilled dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Distribute apple slices over the dough, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Fold edges and form a log or shape as preferred.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to create a glaze. Drizzle over warm kringle before serving.
Notes
- Chill the dough to ensure a flaky texture.
- Add more powdered sugar for a thicker glaze.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
