- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 package (16 oz) gnocchi
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large pot over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onion and garlic in bacon drippings until translucent.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in gnocchi and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked bacon back into the soup, season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped herbs.

- For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or red pepper flakes.
- Use fresh herbs for garnish to enhance taste and presentation.
