- 12 oz (340 g) pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 1 lb (450 g) Cajun sausage, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced Cajun sausage and cook until browned.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant and translucent.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, diced tomatoes, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
- For extra flavor, add sliced bell peppers or mushrooms.
- Best enjoyed immediately, though leftovers reheat well.
