Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring to deglaze the pan and loosen flavorful browned bits.
- Add Parmesan cheese and butter; cook until the sauce thickens about 3–5 minutes. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over each piece. Simmer for a couple of minutes to meld flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or basil. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce during simmering.
- Ensure not to overcook chicken to keep it moist and tender.
- This dish pairs well with rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
