- 1 lb cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add shredded chicken, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes to develop flavors.
- Stir in heavy cream and heat through, do not boil.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

- You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter version.
- For added flavor, include sautéed mushrooms or vegetables.
