- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For the topping: 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in sliced apples and cinnamon.
- Pour batter into prepared pan. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
