- 4 large egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Fresh fruits (berries, kiwi, mango, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and draw a 9-inch circle as a guide.
- In a large bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and continue beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
- Gently fold in vanilla, vinegar, and cornstarch.
- Spread the meringue mixture onto the parchment in the shape of the circle, smoothing the top and sides.
- Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes, then turn off the oven and let the meringue cool inside.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Just before serving, top the cooled meringue with whipped cream and arrange fresh fruits on top.
