- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 egg, beaten
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- In a bowl, combine cranberries, sugar, orange zest, and orange juice.
- Spread cranberry mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Roll up the pastry tightly from the long side to form a log.
- Brush the outside with beaten egg.
- Slice into 1-inch thick pieces and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cooling slightly, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Can use frozen cranberries if fresh are unavailable.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- For added crunch, sprinkle with chopped nuts before baking.
