Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup chopped pickles (optional)
- 1/2 cup sugar-free ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh lettuce and tomato for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Start by cooking the bacon until crispy in a skillet. Once cooked, crumble and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté diced onions until translucent. In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, sautéed onions, crumbled bacon, and seasonings, mixing well.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the beef mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread the sugar-free ketchup and Dijon mustard evenly over the beef. Top with shredded cheddar cheese for that classic cheeseburger flavor.
- Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh lettuce and tomato slices if desired. For extra flavor, add pickles or your favorite burger toppings. Consider low-carb sides like salads or roasted vegetables.
Notes
- Feel free to customize with your favorite burger toppings.
- Use high-quality ingredients for best flavor.
- Cook bacon until crispy for added texture.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.
