Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until browned. Transfer to crockpot.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Add broken lasagna noodles during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  5. Before serving, stir in mozzarella cheese until melted. Garnish with Parmesan and basil.
