Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add sliced onions, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 25 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Roll out pizza dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread caramelized onions evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle shredded Gruyere and mozzarella cheese over onions.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh thyme and serve hot.
