- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup whiskey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then brown on both sides until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion and garlic until translucent.
- Deglaze the pan with whiskey, scraping up browned bits. Reduce by half.
- Add heavy cream and Dijon mustard, simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet, coat with sauce, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

- Use good quality whiskey for depth of flavor.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
