- 1 pound fresh tortellini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, season with basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
- Add cooked tortellini to the sauce, toss to coat evenly.
- Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Notes
- You can substitute heavy cream with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
- For extra flavor, add cooked sausage or sautéed vegetables.
