Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Set aside.
- Cut pie crusts into circles to fit muffin tin cups.
- Line muffin tin with crust circles, pressing into the bottom and sides.
- Fill each crust with the apple mixture.
- Cover with a small crust lid or leave open for a rustic look.
- Brush the edges with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the pan and serving.
