Spaghetti Stuffed Garlic Bread Boats are a unique and delicious twist on traditional garlic bread, filled with savory spaghetti and cheese. Perfect for a crowd-pleasing dinner or brunch, this recipe combines crispy garlic bread with flavorful pasta filling for an irresistible meal.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large baguette or Italian bread loaf
  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti (preferably with marinara or your favorite sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cooked sausage, grilled chicken, or vegetables for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Cut the loaf in half lengthwise and scoop out some of the soft interior—creating a hollow center for the spaghetti filling. Be careful not to puncture the crust. Brush the cut sides with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic and Italian seasoning.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cooked spaghetti with marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. For a protein boost, add cooked sausage or grilled chicken. Set aside.
  3. Fill the hollowed-out bread with the spaghetti mixture, pressing gently to pack in the filling. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle additional cheese on top if desired.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden. For extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2 minutes, watching carefully.

Notes

  • You can customize the recipe by adding your favorite cooked proteins or vegetables.
  • Use fresh herbs for more vibrant flavor and garnish.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute with gluten-free bread and pasta.
