- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Additional cinnamon sugar for coating
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet and set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat until boiling. Add flour and stir until a dough forms. Remove from heat.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time and add vanilla extract.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe bite-sized spirals or lengthwise strips onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Toss baked churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- Serve warm with chocolate or caramel drizzle if desired.
Notes
- For extra crunch, bake for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- You can refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days and reheat in the oven for crispiness.
