- 6 cups Chex cereal
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds or pecans)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and corn syrup, bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour caramel mixture over Chex cereal and toss until evenly coated.
- Spread mixture onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 250°F (120°C) for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with toffee bits and chopped nuts, then drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
- Let cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.
