  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds or pecans)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add brown sugar and corn syrup, bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  4. Pour caramel mixture over Chex cereal and toss until evenly coated.
  5. Spread mixture onto a greased baking sheet and bake at 250°F (120°C) for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven, sprinkle with toffee bits and chopped nuts, then drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
  7. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces and serving.
