Instructions

- In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
- Add softened butter, eggs, and yeast mixture; knead until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread ricotta cheese evenly over surface.
- Spread currant jam over the cheese, then roll up tightly into a log.
- Cut into 1-inch slices and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Brush with egg wash and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
