Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Arrange the bread slices in the dish, overlapping slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread slices.
- Layer sliced apples on top of the bread, pressing gently to settle.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
