- 1 pound breakfast sausage, sliced
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook sausage slices in a skillet until browned. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, and melted butter. Mix into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into the baking dish. Add cooked sausage evenly on top, then pour remaining batter over.
- Sprinkle cheese on top and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving. Enjoy!
