Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Extra melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and minced garlic. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into rolls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can add grated cheese or herbs to the dough for extra flavor.
- Ensure milk is warm but not hot to activate the yeast properly.
- For softer rolls, cover with a clean towel while rising.
